On the 26 January 2026, the Benguela Current Convention welcomed the Gulf of Guinea Commission, represented by Deputy Executive Secretary Mr. Venancio Gomes, to the BCC Secretariat in Swakopmund for discussions on a potential cooperation agreement between the two regional organizations for the purpose of strengthening collaboration on shared ocean governance priorities.

O Secretariado da Corrente de Benguela (BCC), recebeu em Swakopmund em 26 Janeiro de 2026, o Sr. Venancio Gomes, Secretário Executivo Adjunto da Comissão do Golfo da Guiné, em representação do Secretário Executivo, para discussões sobre possíveis acordos de cooperação entre as duas organizações regionais, com o objectivo de fortalecer a colaboração em prioridades comuns de governação oceânica.
